Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk: Details of fight date, venue, TV confirmed
Anthony Joshua of the United Kingdom will defend his heavyweight belts held by the World Boxing Association (WBA), the International Boxing Federation, and the World Boxing Organisation against Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine.
On September 25, the bout will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
Joshua’s manager announced the news on Tuesday.
In August, Joshua was scheduled to meet fellow countryman Tyson Fury in a unification showdown in Saudi Arabia.
However, when a United States arbitrator ruled that the World Boxing Council champion must defend his championship against Deontay Wilder, the fight was canceled.
Sky Sports Box Office will broadcast the fight.
“The date is set, and we are absolutely locked in,” Joshua stated of the next fight.
“I’ve put everything on the line once more, and now it’s time to defend my title.”
