Desmond Tutu, a well-known Anglican bishop from South Africa, has died at the age of 90. The former Bishop of Johannesburg was a major figure in theological circles and a source of inspiration for many.

Desmond Tutu was a well-known human rights crusader and anti-apartheid activist. Desmond Tutu was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his contributions to the campaign to end apartheid.

Desmond Tutu received an honorary doctorate from National Louis University and the Mattie JT Stepanek Peacemaker Award, among other honors.

Desmond Tutu died on December 26, 2021, in the early hours of the morning, leaving behind his wife, Nomalizo Leah Tutu, and four children: Mpho Andrea Tutu, Trevor Thamsanqa Tutu, Theresa Thandeka Tutu, and Naomi Nontombi Tutu.

The world has come to a halt as a result of Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s death, and countless condolence notes have been sent to his family.
