Shahana, an actress and model, was discovered dead at her Chevayur home. Her body was discovered hanging from the window grille, according to sources.

Her family said her death was unexplained and suspected her husband of repeatedly abusing her for money in response to this abrupt occurrence. Her Kasargod relatives said a neighbour informed them of her death around 1 a.m. on Friday.

They also disclosed that her husband, Sajad, had refused to allow her relatives to visit or call them after over two years of marriage.

The circumstances surrounding her death are currently being investigated by police, however it is unclear whether he committed suicide or not.
