His children praised him as “a special and charming man, driven by his curiosity, who spread love and warmth wherever he went.” The many lives he touched will mourn him dearly and remember him with fondness.

Leon Vitali passed away on Friday in Los Angeles, where he had given up acting to work as the director’s right-hand man.

On Sunday, Leon Vitali’s passing was reported by his family. They reported that he passed away on Friday in Los Angeles. He died quietly, surrounded by his three children, Masha, Max, and Vera.

He was 74 years old when he played Lord Bullingdon in “Barry Lyndon” and advised director Stanley Kubrick.

With the following tweet, Stanley Kubrick sent his condolences to Leon Vitali’s family: “It is with the deepest sadness that we must inform you that the central figure of many of Kubrick’s films, Leon Vitali, died away peacefully last night.

Our thoughts are with his family, and all that knew and loved him. 26 July 1948 – 20 August 2022.”
