Candi Gauff and Corey Gauff gave birth to Cori “Coco” Gauff on March 13, 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Her parents are both from Delray Beach, Florida. Her parents both competed at the NCAA Division I level in basketball and track and field.

Coco Gauff’s father was a basketball player at Georgia State University before going into the health-care industry. Her mother, on the other hand, was a Florida State University track and field athlete. She went on to work as an instructor after that.

Coco Gauff grew up with two younger brothers, Codey Gauff, four years his junior, and Cameron Gauff, nine years his junior. Gauff, a former world No. 1 junior, began playing on the ITF Junior Circuit when he was 13 years old.

Coco Gauff made her ITF Women’s Circuit debut in May 2018 at Osprey and won her first professional match. After winning her first WTA singles title at the 2019 Linz Open at the age of 15, she became the youngest girls’ singles finalist in US Open history and the youngest singles title-holder on the WTA Tour since 2004.

Coco Gauff is the Women’s Tennis Association’s youngest player in the top 100. She’s won four WTA doubles titles and defeated Venus Williams in the first round of Wimbledon this year. On 4 April 2022, she reached a career-high position of world No. 15 in singles, and No. 10 in doubles on 28 February 2022.
