Sadio Mane, the forward for Al-Nassr football club, speaks following his marriage to his 19-year-old girlfriend, Aisha Tamba.
The former Liverpool star exchanged vows with Tamba in a wedding ceremony held last weekend in Dakar, Senegal.
The wedding took place just a week before the commencement of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Speaking to local media, Sadio Mane expressed his joy, stating the honor of being congratulated by the country’s president.
In his words;
“Honestly, I am happy [with] the fact the president has congratulated me just as much as, well, I would say not just my teammates.
“I think that all the people have congratulated me and wished me [luck] so I am happy and I hope that it will be okay.”
It is worth noting that in 2022, Mane disclosed his intention to marry a woman who holds reverence for God and prioritizes values over social media expenditures.
